Conducting Officer – Real Estate Portfolio Management
Our client is an international specialist Real Estate Investment Manager
The Portfolio Manager position is a key requirement in order to qualify as an AIFM. The position works with the other Conducting Officers of the Company as well as with the Fund Management Team. The main roles are:
Investment Advisory, including acquisition and divestment;
Business Planning
Controlling of the Investment Advisor and
Investment Funding
Requirements
1. Investment Advisory including acquisition and divestments
Work with the Investment Advisor in relation to deal sourcing and pipeline development,
Ensuring compliance with operational processes in the area of portfolio management and its components fund management
Transactional oversight and selection of due diligence advisors (tax structuring, transfer pricing and interest rate benchmarks, financial, legal, technical and environmental, Health and Safety,)
Member of the the Finance and Investment committee (FIC), Executive Committee and board meeting if necessary
Asset and Fund exit planning
2. Business Planning and Investment Compliance
Budgeting and cash forecasting
KPIs monitoring and reporting of the portfolio’s performance and its investment (incl. performance forecast)
Investment Compliance of the Funds against the Fund Documentation and relevant legislation
Compliance of the AIFM against Transfer Pricing and relevant legislation;
Oversight of all insurance policies and programs
3. Implementation of outsourced controlling of the Investment Advisor
4. Investment funding (Liquidity Management)
Capital Call and redemption execution
Bridge facility management
Deal financing (e.g. via loans) and negotiations with the banks
Cash Management
Determination of foreign exchange and interest rate policy (including hedging where deemed appropriate
Corporate Development
Data systems – the company is developing internal systems including a data warehouse.Key role in assisting in the implementation of these systems/data warehouse and implementing, using and developing the new systems and the data warehouse.
Corporate Development – Any other investment & asset management related works such as ad hoc corporate reporting, coordination on corporate initiatives etc. Being part of a project team in a changing environment within a dynamic global group.
Skills & Experience Required
Professional qualification
6 – 8 years experience in an Alternative Investment Fund Manager or experience working with a Central Administrator, Auditor etc
Knowledge and understanding of the Luxembourg Regulatory Framework, the AIFMD and CSSF Circulars
Sound interpersonal skills
Fluent in English. Any other language is desirable
