Description:

We are seeking a Conducting Officer for our client’s Portfolio Management team at their boutique Alternative Investment Fund Manager (AIFM) based in Luxembourg. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing the investment portfolio and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements while driving performance and risk management strategies.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Portfolio Management Oversight:

– Oversee the management of investment portfolios, ensuring alignment with the fund’s investment strategy and objectives

– Monitor and evaluate portfolio performance, risk profiles, and asset allocation.

  1. Regulatory Compliance:

– Ensure adherence to Luxembourg regulatory frameworks and compliance standards related to AIFM operations

– Liaise with regulatory bodies and manage audits and inspections

  1. Risk Management:

– Implement and monitor risk management frameworks to identify, assess, and mitigate investment risks

– Prepare risk reports and present findings to stakeholders

  1. Investment Strategy Development:

– Collaborate with investment teams to devise and refine investment strategies based on market research and analysis

– Participate in the selection and evaluation of investment opportunities

  1. Reporting and Documentation:

– Prepare and present regular reports on portfolio performance and compliance to the board and stakeholders

– Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping in line with legal and regulatory requirements

  1. Team Collaboration:

– Work closely with other departments, including compliance, legal, and operations, to ensure seamless fund management

– Mentor and train junior staff in portfolio management practices and regulatory compliance. 

 

Qualifications:

– Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field

– Minimum of [7] years of experience in portfolio management, preferably within an AIFM or financial services environment

– Strong knowledge of Luxembourg regulatory frameworks applicable to AIFMs

– Proven track record of managing investment portfolios and driving performance

– Excellent analytical and quantitative skill

– Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly
