Conducting Officer – AIFM

Our client is a Global Alternative Investment Firm with A Successful and well-established Luxembourg operation. They are looking for a new Conducting Officer to join their Luxembourg team on a permanent basis!

Responsibilities

• Assume all regulatory roles defined by the AIFMD that apply to the position of Conducting Officer
• Responsible for AIFMD compliance and related necessary documentation
• Management control systems and internal controls for the Branch in conjunction with the AIFM and Group internal audit
• In conjunction with accounting team/Head of Finance, control of delegated accounting function as the case may be and act as liaison with the custodian
• In conjunction with deal and legal teams, conduct due diligence on parties (KYC)
• Support deal team during closing and client requests and coordinate teams’ efforts for structuring/restructuring of transactions, acquisitions, disposals, etc
• Act as liaison with legal and accounting teams, responsible for issuing notices (capital call, distribution), organizing share transfers, issuing reporting to investors, etc
• Assist in the preparation of Board/Advisory Committee materials and investor reporting
• Be a key point of contact with business partners and investors
• Contribute to the corporate organization
• As part of a US-based global enterprise, with diversified activities, some duties may be added over time

Qualifications

• Financial or economics education Bachelor or Master level
• Previous director positions at regulated vehicles or vehicles managed by regulated manager
• 7-10 years’ experience, predominantly in AIFM environments
• Fluent in French and English
• Deep knowledge of AIFMD regulatory requirements
• Experience in real estate and private equity
• Quality and compliance management experience
• Excellent organization and communication skills
• Delivery – Achieving Results – ability to assume responsibility, ability to set priorities, to dissect tasks and complete them while keeping overview on timing and objective
• Teams relationship – Willingness and ability to work cross functional
• Hands-on entrepreneur keen on building up the AIFM activities
