SENIOR VALUATIONS / M&A ANALYST AMSTERDAM
Position Background:
Our client is aiming to grow its business into new geographical areas as part of it long term growth strategy
They are looking at a specific acquisition in a new region and need a skilled Senior Analyst to look at the process.
Job description:
- Valuation analysis, scenarios analysts
- Explanation of various asset valuations and their impact on future P&L / related balance sheet / overall risks
- Demonstrate understanding of key business and profit drivers
- Management and updating of valuations models
- Determining appropriate valuation methodology and building and reviewing financial models.
- Valuations aspects to be considered; revenues, loan book, customer relationship and brand
- Designing and building financial models
- Looking at analysis modelling for discounted cash flow, intangible assets etc
- Gathering date and information on the asset based financing sector in this geographical area and internationally – both from a consumer and commercial perspective
- Performing in-depth industry, market and competitor research
- Performing valuation analysis on a wide range of companies
- Utilising accepted relevant asset valuation approaches
- Analysis, reconciliation and summarization of data
- Calculating the values of the assets through market surveys
- Presenting the results of the analysis in a clear concise manner
- Occasional other special projects as designated
- Strong analyses, reports, and presentations
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s / Master’s degree, with further experience and/or qualifications in Finance, Accounting or Economics, MBA, CA, CFA
- Preferred with IFRS PPA experience (loan book valuations)
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience at a Big 4, consulting, valuation firm or banking, specializing in the asset valuation
- Experience in building, maintaining and reviewing valuation models and other financials
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills
