Senior Valuation Analyst – Alternative Investments

Our client is an established alternative investment management company and AIFM in Luxembourg.

As a Senior Valuation Analyst, you will assist the Director of Valuations on a wide range of activities for the AIFs under management and the AIFM.

Job responsibilities:

• Review and validate the valuation of Private Equity, Private Debt, Real Estate and Infrastructure assets’ investments based on widely-accepted valuation techniques in the context of fund structures
• Coordinating with the fund administration teams and external appraisers
• Participate in the review and approval process of the reported NAVs for the AIFs under management
• Analyze market data, review and key modelling assumptions and judge their adequacy
• Assist the Senior Analyst in coordinating, preparing and participating in the valuation committees of the AIFM
• Maintain the highest standards in the valuation process, methodologies and documentation
• Ad-hoc tasks to assist the growth of the business and ensure the smooth running of daily activities

Your Profile:

• Have a degree in Finance, Economics or similar fields from a university or business school
• Preparation for a professional qualification (CFA, CAIA) would be considered an advantage
• Have at least 2 years of relevant experience as a valuation professional or as an auditor in the fund industry (preferably coming from AIFM, management company or Big Four with experience in alternative investments)
• Good knowledge of valuation techniques for various assets such as private equity and venture capital, senior, junior and convertible debt, as well as related regulations (e.g. AIFMD regulation, IPEV and RICS guidelines)
• Strong team player with good communication skills
• Dynamic person with proven ability to work in autonomy and take initiatives
• Fluent in English; any other language would be considered an asset (French, Spanish or German)
